La Valaiserie
A 250 year old traditional farmhouse lovingly converted to provide comfortable accommodation for couples or new parents in a peaceful rural location within the Calvados (14) region of France.
A warm welcome is assured at La Valaiserie our quiet corner of the beautiful Normandy countryside. With its exposed beams and thick stone walls it is set within an acre of lawned grounds and offers the perfect opportunity to rest and recharge those batteries!
The front door opens into the large open plan lounge/diner and well equipped kitchen. There is a good sized dining table and chairs, comfortable sofa and a delightful villager wood burning stove. There is also a convenient downstairs WC with wash hand basin. There is a TV showing UK terrestrial and free to air channels as well as a DVD player and a selection of books.
Upstairs there is a spacious bedroom with a comfortable double bed together with an en-suite bathroom with WC, wash hand basin as well as both a double ended bath and shower.
Outside there is a patio table and chairs as well as a BBQ.
For new parents a cot and highchair can be provided at no extra charge.
Bedding, towels, wood for the stove and a complimentary bottle of wine are all included in the price.

What to do, where to go and eating out.
Centrally located with good access to the many attractions for which Normandy is famous and for the more adventurous Paris is just 2hrs away by train.
Whatever the weather with so much beautiful countryside there is always somewhere to go and something to do.
There is a challenging 18 hole golf course close by as well as a water sports centre together with miles of traffic free lanes and tracks for walking and cycling.

Where else but France can you get a 4 course meal with wine from around £10 per person? Alternatively why not splash out and visit the superb Moulin de Jean where dining doesn't get any better but without the big city price tag?
Alternatively with a pleasant bottle of table wine from around £2 and so much quality food available locally why not eat in?

We are located 10 minutes outside the market town of Vire. A superb uncongested road network makes for an easy drive from the ferry ports of Caen (50 miles) , Cherbourg (80 miles) and Le Havre (100 miles) . In addition Dieppe, Boulogne, Calais and Dunkerque offer a huge range of crossings together with Euro tunnel.
Brittany Ferries and LD lines run regular services 7 days a week and customers can take advantage of our club card to obtain a slightly cheaper rate.
Mid week sailings are usually cheaper and good savings can be made so shop around.
La Valaiserie Rental conditions/rates:-
Rates for 2010
Uniquely to enable you to take advantage of off peak ferry fares Rental of La Valaiserie is by charged by the day @ £35.00 per night (minimum 2 nights).
And don't forget together with a bottle of wine and welcome pack on your arrival, towels, bedding and firewood are included.

Conditions
A 10% non refundable deposit is required to confirm a booking with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival.
A €50 refundable damage/cleaning deposit is required on arrival.
NB:- Some or all of this will be retained should the property not be left as it was on your arrival.
Arrival time is 1700hrs. Departure time is 10am.
Once the balance has been paid no refunds will be offered and it is recommended that holiday insurance is taken out to cover any unforeseen eventualities.
